Tuition Rates
Admission Fees: There is a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee and a deposit of $500.00 required prior to your child's admission. The $500.00 deposit reserves your child's space at Kumara. $100 of the deposit will be applied towards your last months tuition if you give us one months written notice before withdrawing from Kumara. $400 will be applied towards your first months tuition. If you fail to enroll your child the deposit is non-refundable.
Teacher Retention Fund A yearly fee of $1000.00 per child is required with Jan. tuition.
Materials Fee: A yearly $250 materials and activity fee is due with your first tuition payment.
Assessment Fee: In order to keep costs down, Kumara schedules two Parent Project Days a year. $180 can be exchanged for participation in these biannual project days.
Tuition Payment: Tuition is due on the first business day of the month. An additional charge of $25 will be added if payment is received after the 10th of the month. We tally bills on the last day of the month and any extra charges accrued during the month will be added to your next month's bill.

As a courtesy to part-time families, Kumara allows drop-in time. Extra days are charged by the full or half day. Additional time added to an already scheduled day is charged by the hour.

Quonset Hutters must enroll for at least 4 mornings, 8:30am–12:30pm.
Summer Vacation Tuition Credit: During our summer session, the months of approximately mid-June through July, we offer tuition credit for vacations lasting one week or longer if you give us notice by April 25th. Kumara School closes for approximately the month of August each year.
