Supportive Discipline Workshop

Feb 21 6:30-to 7:45

Kumara family pot luck 6:00 to 6:30

This workshop explores the art of discipline using methods which support the development of children who are responsible, respectful, self confident and self aware. Parents will learn practical tools including Positive Time Outs, Empathetic Limit Setting, Natural and Logical Consequences, Consistency, and Intention. Topics will also include: Why children misbehave, what to do when logical consequences dont work, why implementing these tools is so much "easier-said-than-done."

Annie Asch has been working as a family therapist and parenting coach in Marin County for the past 12 years. Her areas of expertise include parent education, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. As a parenting coach, her emphasis is on providing practical tools and skills as well as addressing the easier-said-than-done roadblocks which parents face in implementing these skills. She is also the mother of three.
